Consultation Days.
Mr Karpik consults on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your appointment.

Mr Karpik consults in four locations. Please find these locations and their consultation days below.

Support Person.
Please feel free to bring a support person with you to your consultation.
Interpreter.
If English is not your first language, it would be helpful to have someone with you who speaks fluent English. If you require an interpreter, you will need to arrange this yourself prior to your appointment.
Attire.
Mr Karpik may need to examine the affected joint, we recommend attending the clinic in clothing that allows Mr Karpik to easily examine the problematic joint.
Knee / Hip | Loose fitting trousers that can be rolled up; or wear / bring shorts or a skirt |
Shoulder | Sleeveless garment or a loose fitting shirt |
Injections.
Injections can serve two purposes:
They can take away pain temporarily or permanently and avoid the need for surgery.
They can help to confirm a diagnosis. If an injection takes away your pain, it is very likely Mr Karpik has identified the cause of your problems. If your pain does not subside, surgery may be the needed course of action.
Payment.
Mr Karpik is a Southern Cross Health Society affiliated provider. Consultation costs will be claimed directly from Southern Cross on your behalf. Depending on your policy there may be part payment for your treatment.
If your appointment is related to an approved ACC claim, there is no surcharge for your consultation with Mr Karpik. Consultation costs will be claimed directly from ACC on your behalf.
For all other medical insurers and self funding patients, payment is expected at the time of consultation (Eftpos is available. Credit cards not accepted). You will be provided with a receipt for insurance claim purposes.
Please note that cheques will not longer be accepted for payments.
Post Consultation.
If Mr Karpik sends you to book an MRI after your consultation, please ensure that you call Mr Karpik's offices to book your follow up appointment.
