Hip Arthritis

Arthritis is a condition where there is damage to or loss of cartilage that causes pain and impacts the ability of your joint to do normal daily functions. Once arthritis becomes severe, surgical intervention may be required. Please discuss your options will Mr Kevin Karpik.

Avascular Necrosis

Avascular Necrosis, also known as osteonecrosis, is a painful condition that occurs when there is a disruption in the blood supply to the head of the femur. This can lead to a break down in the hip joint and severe arthritis.

Tendon Re-attachment

Hip strains frequently occur near where the muscle joins the tendon. These strains usually occur from a fall, overstretching, or from a sport injury. The strain could simply be a stretch in your muscle or tendon, or it may be a tear of muscle fibers and/or a tendon.

Hip Replacements & Revisions

The implants used for a hip joint replacement can wear out or become loose over time and can cause pain in the joint and impact your joint function. This means that part or all of your previous hip replacement needs to be revised.
